Telarus, Inc., premier telecom master agentĀ announced it had surpassed $1M in telecom equipment and repair sales through its VAR Network. Since 2006 Telarus has been partnering with telecom equipment partners and network integrators who receive leads from varnetwork as well as Telarus’ network of agents. Using an automated customer feedback and auditing system, Telarus learns of sales that have occurred.
“$1M in equipment sales is a huge milestone for our VAR program,” commented Adam Edwards, president of Telarus. “Helping our VAR partners grow their core business is the primary goal of this program. Unlike most telecom agents or carriers who promise leads to VARs, this achievement will send a message to VARs everywhere that Telarus has the ability to be a true partner.”
VARs who join the Telarus VAR Program on VARpartner.com can qualify to receive more leads based upon an algorithm called “VARSearch 3.0″. Some of the factors VARSearch takes into consideration are:
- Prior customer feedback
- Prior agent feedback
- Geographic proximity to the customer (if applicable)
- Product certifications
- Voice and Data sales volume sent to Telarus in the past 90 days
Using these and other factors, VARSearch automatically assigns incoming leads to VARs who then receive an email notification that a new lead is waiting for the in their Telarus VAR Back Office.”This is a truly exciting time in the history of our VAR program”, added Robert Butler, director of the Telarus VAR program. “As we watch the equipment sales tally grow, our VAR partners engage with us on a professional and personal level. Sending them business helps us build long lasting relationships that is unique in this industry. And with the help of VARSearch 3.0 and the increasing number of leads we generate from Google and our agent base, we look forward to reaching the $2M plateau soon.”
Telarus has recently announced the signing of several large IP PBX equipment dealers, including Fonality, making it one of the largest online resources for small businesses seeking telephony equipment.
“We now have VARs just about everywhere who can sell just about everything” added Lance Akins, VP of Sales for Telarus. “But when we receive a lead in an area where we don’t have a VAR partner, we go find one. Recruiting is a breeze when your conversation begins with ‘I have a lead for you, want to join?’ Look for more growth in 2008 both in terms of sales and the number of VARs becoming active in our program.”
