Covad acquisition Completed

Platinum Equity has completed the acquisition of Covad Communications Group on april 15th. The total value of the transaction is approximately $470 million. The acquisition was a public-to-private transaction in which an affiliate of Platinum Equity acquired all outstanding shares of Covad stock for $1.02 per share in cash. The company previously traded on the American Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol DVW.

  1. I was so happy to see Covad go out of business. I worked for them for 5 years and if you had a brown nose you could go anywhere. I was let go because my stats were not up to par. Even though I busted my but I was close but my destiny was allready confrimed.

    As a disabled vet I had told them I was unable to keep up with the calls and stats as they wanted however it didnt matter. There were leads there that thought they were the best. I even wrote to the president of the company telling him about one of the leads (Matt) cussing in the phone because I was in a not ready status and the customer heard it.

    I wasnt about customer service it was always about numbers. Take the call and get off so you could take another one.

    There were a few great managers that left becasue of what Covad was doing to thier customers and employees.

    I just hope they are really aware of what they did to me and other disabled vets.
