Cbeyond’s Executives to Address COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2013 Convention & EXPO

the technology ally to small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced that Brett Burgett, Cbeyond’s vice president, network engineering and planning, will speak at the COMPTEL PLUS Fall 2013 Convention & EXPO taking place Monday, September 23, through Thursday, September 26, at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida.

On Tuesday, September 24 from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. Cbeyond’s senior vice president and general counsel William H. Weber joins Robert W. Quinn of AT&T, Sean Lev of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Ronald A. Brise of the Florida Public Service Commission for a panel entitled “Trials and Tribulations: Next Steps in the Transition to IP”.
Moderated by Joe Gillan of Gillan Associates, panelists will discuss how the FCC can move the industry forward during the transition to IP technology as well as focus on the impact on competition and consumer protection in particular.

On Wednesday, September 25 from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Brett Burgett, Cbeyond’s vice president, network engineering and planning, joins panelists from ETC Group LLC, Global Capacity, Neustar and TeliaSonera International Carrier for a panel discussion on “TDM to IP: Preparing Your Business for the Transition”. The panel will explore how the public switched telephone network (PSTN) is evolving from TDM to IP technology, the operational and economic benefits to be gained through VoIP interconnection and transport, and the appropriate sequencing of any future steps related to the signaling systems and databases.

Panelists also will showcase their current successes and approaches in efforts to implement their strategies, with a particular focus on the business issues related to IP-to-IP interconnection of managed networks.

On Thursday, September 26 from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Greg Darnell, Cbeyond’s director of ILEC relations joins representatives from Cox, Time Warner Cable, TMI and XO Communications for a panel discussion entitled “VoIP Regulatory Strategies: One Size Does Not Fit All”. The panel will explore the relative merits of alternative regulatory strategies for competing in the telephony/VoIP markets.

Burgett is responsible for the strategic and tactical planning of Cbeyond’s IP Network and Voice infrastructure. His career comprises more than 19 years of management experience in voice, data and wireless networks with companies such as BellSouth, SDN Communications and BroadRiver Communications.

Cbeyond Achieves Cisco Master Service Provider Certification

Provider Certification for cloud and managed services. This
certification recognizes Cbeyond as having the capabilities to sell and
deliver cloud and managed services to help accelerate time to market
and time to revenue. Additionally, the certification rewards partners
for their expertise and investments for creating, selling and
delivering cloud and managed services with financial incentives and
go-to-market benefits in all countries of legal presence.

The Cisco Master Service Provider Certification is part of the Cisco
Cloud and Managed Services Program, focused on helping partners such as

with business acceleration tools and services, sales training and the
Cisco Cloud Marketplace to address the varied needs of its customers.
As a Cisco Master Service Provider Certified Partner, Cbeyond will sell
and deliver at least two Cisco Powered services (managed and/or cloud
services with Cisco Powered services designations), built on the IT
Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, and provide enhanced
management and stewardship practices to its customers.

Cbeyond Simplifies Cloud Management for SMBs

The Cbeyond Online portal now supports Cbeyond’s cloud service platform, including TotalCloud™ Data Center, launched in October 2012, and TotalCloud™ Phone System, launched in December 2012.

(NASDAQ: NSIT), a global technology provider of hardware, software and service solutions, to offer Cbeyond’s TotalCloud™ Data Center cloud computing services to Insight’s customer base.

Through the InsightCloud Solution Center, Insight’s more than 70,000 commercial and public sector clients as well as 5,000 global manufacturers and publishers will soon have the ability to purchase and manage Cbeyond’s TotalCloud Data Center, a robust suite of cloud services and solutions. By leveraging these cloud services, enterprises can address their growing virtualization, data center and networking needs through a single client portal.

TotalCloud Data Center is a cloud data center Infrastructure-as-a-Service product line which comprises virtual and physical servers and includes Microsoft’s Hyper-V hypervisor management engine, Cisco’s Unified Computing System (UCS), EMC storage, F5 load balancing and a Fortinet firewall (IDS/IPS). Cbeyond will manage the data center environment, server hardware and OS layer (installation, testing and patches) for virtual and physical servers. Clients are able to:
