Verge Fund Implements MegaPath EoC to Support Voice over IP and Data Communication Requirements

megapath1 MegaPath Corporationtoday announced that it is delivering Ethernet over Copper (EoC) connectivity and Hosted Voice to Verge Fund, a super-angel venture capital fund. Through this relationship, Albuquerque, N.M.-based Verge Fund is leveraging MegaPath’s EoC connection to ensure it has a reliable, high-quality Voice over IP (VoIP) and data connection for its employees and start-up companies.

“Before switching to MegaPath, the quality of our Voice over IP services did not meet our expectations, which led us to search for a new communications provider that could support our voice and data connectivity needs,” said Bill Bice, General Partner, Verge Fund. “We looked at all of the traditional fiber providers, but they are expensive. MegaPath offered the first realistic alternative to fiber and now we have a fiber-quality connection at a reasonable price point.”

After experiencing service quality issues with its VoIP connection, Verge Fund turned to MegaPath’s EoC offering and Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities to support its voice connectivity demands. MegaPath is providing the venture fund with a 20×20 EoC connection to support Verge Fund’s current requirements and future plans. MegaPath Hosted Voice will enable Verge Fund to reduce costs, increase productivity, and streamline communications with a comprehensive feature set including Find Me/Follow Me, Visual Voicemail and Mobility.

The service is now available in the top 50 national markets.

MegaPath Dan Foster Named to 2012 Channel Chiefs List by CRN Magazine

Dan Foster, President of Business Markets at MegaPath Corporatio, was selected as one of CRN Magazine’s 2012 Channel Chiefs. This list recognizes the most influential leaders in the IT channel that are directly responsible for driving channel sales and growth within their organizations.

Former Speakeasy Chris Gellos MegaPath’s New Senior VP of Sales

MegaPath, Inc.has appointed of Chris Gellos as Senior Vice President of Sales. In this role, he will oversee the strategic direction and management of the Company’s direct and channel sales operations. A telecommunications veteran with over 20 years experience, Gellos brings to MegaPath a proven track record of building high performing sales organizations in both direct and channel sales.

Prior to his new role, Gellos served as Vice President of Sales at Speakeasy where he was responsible for the growth and performance of the direct and channel sales teams. On September 1, 2010, MegaPath completed its merger with Speakeasy and Covad, creating one of the largest end-to-end facilities-based IP communications networks in the country. Gellos has held a variety of management positions with telecommunications companies including Qwest Communications, Electric Lightwave, Citizens Communications and Line One.
